Clinch Studs

Clinch Studs 2

Clinch Studs are an externally threaded fastener designed for either rotation or push-out applications.  They have a unified thread pitch and a cylindrical, low profile head with small, rectangular ribs protruding from the underside of the head.  The top of the head is flat and is flush with the mating surface when installation is complete.  Below the ribs and above the first thread is an annular groove which helps to hold the fastener into position.

Clinch Studs are installed by placing them in properly sized holes and squeezing into place with a standard press.  The squeezing action embeds the head of the stud into the sheet.  The metal displaced by the head flows smoothly and evenly around the ribs and into the annular groove, securely locking the stud into the sheet with high torque-out and pushout resistances.

Clinch Studs can be custom designed to meet your exact application requirements.  Contact National Engineered Fasteners for more information and/or for a quote.
